Beast Crawl, the Beating Literary Heart of Oakland

BEAST_CRAWL-2013-web-graphic-w-logo-PURPLE-sbsBEAST CRAWL is Uptown Oakland’s annual free literary festival featuring more than 140 writers in a single night, in dozens of events, spread out over three hours and twenty-six local galleries, bars, restaurants, cafés, and storefronts.

Each leg of The BEAST lasts one hour and offers as many as a dozen readings to chose from. There’s a half hour break between literary legs for socializing and relocating to a new venue before the next reading begins. 

SomaR is in the second leg of the BEAST CRAWL  hosting the reading  “Eleven Eleven Journalfeaturing 4 writers. This reading is associated with California College of the Arts, and curated by Editor-in-Chief Hugh Behm-Steinberg.
