BEAST CRAWL is Uptown Oakland’s annual free literary festival featuring more than 140 writers in a single night, in dozens of events, spread out over three hours and twenty-six local galleries, bars, restaurants, cafés, and storefronts.
Each leg of The BEAST lasts one hour and offers as many as a dozen readings to chose from. There’s a half hour break between literary legs for socializing and relocating to a new venue before the next reading begins.
SomaR is in the second leg of the BEAST CRAWL hosting the reading “Eleven Eleven Journal” featuring 4 writers. This reading is associated with California College of the Arts, and curated by Editor-in-Chief Hugh Behm-Steinberg.
