Oakland Community Art Project – March 1 Deadline

The Koreatown Northgate district is a lively and diverse business district on Telegraph Avenue between 20th and 35th Streets in Oakland, and home to a Korean-American creative arts community.

The Koreatown Northgate (KoNo) Association is looking for local artists to paint the utility boxes on Telegraph Avenue between 20th and 35th Streets. Chosen artists will receive $500 per utility box.

Submission DEADLINE is March 1st. Learn more about the project’s deadlines, eligibility and application requirements.

When the project is complete, the KoNo Community Benefits Association will celebrate by inviting the residents and merchants of KoNo and the surrounding area to a First Friday “Art Walk & Talk” to listen to the artist share their inspirations and the process behind the project.
