YFPA First Wednesday Mixer

Wednesday, November 9, 2011
6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Spotlight Speaker:
Agnes Briones Ubalde

Topic: “A Discussion On
Non-Traditional Professions”

We want to let you know that this event is usually held on the first Wednesday of the month but it’s been moved to the second Wednesday due to the Occupy Oakland activities. We want everyone to be safe.

Agnes Briones Ubalde

The Young Filipino Professionals Association/YFPA welcomes their Spotlight Speaker, Agnes Briones Ubalde, Vice President, Community Development Officer, Greater Bay Area & Northern California Region (Oakland, California Office) for Wells Fargo Bank. Ms. Briones Ubalde will be discussing her past roles in local government, including Former Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Small Business Director, and her current role as a Redevelopment Commissioner of San Francisco. The workplace is evolving every year and our hope is that this presentation will introduce new thoughts on navigating alternative fields.

We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, November 9, at 6pm.  This event is free to YFPA members and $5 for non-members. You can purchase tickets online or contact Eleanore Fernandez at eleanore@yfpa.org.

We’re also having a food drive for the Alameda County Community Food Bank & Contra County Workforce Services. If you bring a non-perishable food item to donate, we’ll give you tickets to enter to win door prizes!

One Response to YFPA First Wednesday Mixer

  1. Thanks again folks for having YFPA at last month’s November mixer. Agnes’ talk was beneficial to our attendees that night and again, much props for having us move the date a week prior. Kudos to Veronica, Armando and all the great staff…we’d love to have another event there again!
    Take care,
